Description

My latest artistic folly.
Found an artist I really liked and decided to try a painting in the same style. I failed. But at least I can only get better.

I think it's quite a lovely work, despite of everything you have written in a description of this painting. There is nothing wrong with being inspired by other artist and trying to learn technique from them. However, this painting is very different from what agnes does (even in style), which shows you have your own way of thinking when painting and you are able to transform vision into something of your own.

What I think you have shown in this portrait is that you have a good sense of proportions, face as well as body is very well done and comprehensive. Colors used might have been inspired, yet they work together well.

Since this might have been one of your first watercolor attempts, technique is not that advanced. You do have some control of the medium but there is a lot of random blots. We all know how difficult is to master watercolors, so if this painting of yours wasn't your last and your interest in this medium is serious, please don't stop painting, results will show soon.

Overall, this painting is something I would fave for sure. Hope to see more watercolor work of yours <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
